 How Much Women Cricketer Earn in India?


The earnings of women cricketers in India can vary depending on various factors such as their experience, performance, endorsements, and the tournaments they participate in. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently announced a significant increase in the annual contracts for women cricketers. As of September 2021, the annual retainer fee for women cricketers in India is as follows.

Grade A: INR 50 lakhs (approx. USD 67,000) 

Grade B: INR 30 lakhs (approx. USD 40,000) 

Grade C: INR 10 lakhs (approx. USD 13,000)

Apart from the retainer fee, women cricketers also earn match fees for every game they play. The match fees for women's international matches in India are as follows:

INR 50,000 (approx. USD 675) per match for Test matches 

INR 12,500 (approx. USD 170) per match for ODI matches 

INR 10,000 (approx. USD 135) per match for T20I matches

Apart from these earnings, women cricketers can also earn additional income from brand endorsements, appearance fees, and prize money from various tournaments they participate in.
